These symptoms range from mild to severe, and it could also get life threatening. Patients into Ativan withdrawal experience either of these symptoms: super sensitivity to light, panic attacks, seizures, fever, headaches, insomnia (which could later lead to restlessness), irritability, nausea and vomiting, depression or suicidal tendencies, confusion, increased anxiety, psychosis and the like.

Withdrawal symptoms that could be related to the behavior are highly dangerous, as this could lead to hazards such as self infliction of pain, and even suicide. However, these symptoms could be avoided by consulting to the doctor or to the health practitioner every changes done in the dosage of the medication. These medical experts know how to gradually take Ativan out of a patient’s system, so that he/she can live a normal life again without having to experience these symptoms which could be very bothersome.

Should there be addiction of the said medication, seek medical help right away. In taking such anti-anxiety medicines, nothing is ever safe as consulting the expert. Thus, it is always best to ask the doctor about this medication. Ativan withdrawal symptoms could be very hazardous to the individual when not given prompt attention.
